New Core Values & Behaviors

Culture is a force multiplier for the outcomes that matter most to successful companies. And when properly harnessed, it becomes a powerful differentiator. Our client had just completed a merger with another company, and needed to build a new company culture that would move the company forward as one team. 

In addition to creating a custom strategy to develop internal communication within the company and position the new VP of Human Resources as a primary influencer, we partnered with the HR and Marketing organizations to identify a new set of core values and defining behaviors that would serve as the foundation of their new company culture.

Our first step was to conduct a company-wide survey to test value attributes. More than half of the company’s 800-person workforce responded. We dug deeper by conducting one-on-one interviews with 24 employees to test value statements and behaviors. 

Once the values and behaviors were finalized and approved by company leaders, we built and implemented a communication campaign to introduce the five new values to all employees through global meetings, print collateral and web content. Finally, we advised the company on how best to integrate the new values into company branding, processes and programs.
